Italian helmet manufacturer AGV, produced the K5 S model from composite fibre material.
AGV K5 S has ECE REG 22.05 safety certificates. Unfortunately, it does not have a certificate from the Snell which has subjected it to more stringent tests. The number of Snell certified helmets is very few indeed. See also: snell certified helmets
The AGV K5 S has a GT4(3 mm) visor just slightly above standard thickness and comes with pinlock insert lens. The visor can be removed without any tools. There is micro opening system at visor. Working logic of this system is when the visor is closed it can bring visor to one level up and making it get more air from the tiny gap it creates.
If we generalize the reviews of AGV K5 S users, we can give 12.6/20 points to the angle(wide+vertical) of the visor. Wide field of view may be similar in most of the helmets but vertical field of view is rarely similar. Therefore, vertical field of view should be considered as this is an important element. The vertical viewing angle must be above the standard so that you can see clearly in front of you in the tuck position. On the AGV K5 S, the vertical viewing angle is slightly above standard.
The AGV K5 S has a built-in sun visor. Sun visor can be opened/closed, but cannot be adjusted incrementally.
For ventilation there are two air ducts on the chin, three air ducts on the top and two air exits on the back.
Since the two ventilation channels on the chin side are controlled from a single place, they can be opened/closed simultaneously, not separately.

No ventilation ducts can be adjusted incrementally on the AGV K5 S.
If we generalize the reviews of AGV K5 S users, we can give 11.5/20 points to the noise. You should not be surprised with different reviews. The reason for this is all of us have different levels of hearing, riding styles, motorcycle types and motorcycles that offers different levels of wind protection and riding at different speeds.

AGV K5 S has been designed for Intermediate Oval head shape and produced with two different shell size.
AGV K5 S has breath deflector, glasses groove, speaker pockets, chin curtain, removable and washable inner pads. Top pad and cheek pads are soft. The quality of the inner pads meets the standards in this price segment. It would be nice if the reflector added to the neck roll was bigger.

|Noise Inside The helmet's ability to reduce noise, to minimise the wind resistance and to encourage ventilation inside the helmet was assessed in a wind tunnel at a simulated riding speed of 100 km/h. The helmet was fitted on a mannequin designed for acoustic measurement. The mannequin was equipped with a specially designed microphone placed inside one of the mannequin's pinnas (ears).
